he Neighborhood House is a workshop for designing and implementing social and cultural activities involving associations, citizens, and artistic and cultural operators; it is an open and multicultural space, a place of crossing, meeting, and exchanging activities and people.

At the Neighborhood House, there is a café, a bicycle repair workshop, a co-working office, a time bank, a garden, a meeting room, information desks, listening spaces, artistic workshops for adults and children, and much more.

Terra Madre – Global Meeting of Food Communities

I
n October 2004, in conjunction with the Salone del Gusto, the first edition of Terra Madre was organized, initiated by a committee composed of the Ministry of Agricultural and Forestry Policies, the Piedmont Region, the City of Turin, and Slow Food.

Approximately 5000 delegates from 130 countries around the world participated and were hosted throughout the Piedmont region, as well as parts of Liguria, Lombardy, and Valle d’Aosta.

The main participants of this event were the 1250 Food Communities, a new concept referring to an extended food chain, from farmers to processors and distributors. The 2018 edition marked the ninth occurrence of this event.
